Office hours: by appointment only.

Jason is a PhD student at the Munich Center of Ethics. He is primarily interested in applied ethics, moral and political philosophy, social justice, and jurisprudence.

For his dissertation he is working on a second-order analysis of the human enhancement debate to serve as a heuristic for diagnosing social and structural injustices with the aim of underpinning socially progressive egalitarian initiatives. This project — Human Enhancement and Social Progress (HESP) is supported and funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG - HE6864/3-1) and headed by PD. Dr. Jan-Christoph Heilinger.

Outside of this project, Jason is also working on various issues concerning the ethics of immigration where he is interested in relational egalitarian strategies for grounding open borders and cultivating inclusive societies.

Jason completed his B.A. (Hons) at Monash University in Melbourne where he wrote on the Egalitarianism of Human Rights, and the Ethics of Human Enhancement, and his M.A. and M.Phil. at KU Leuven in Belgium where his respective theses explored the Morality of Law (with a focus on Euthanasia) and Cosmopolitan Justice in International Law.
